What shiould my friend do?

i have a friend who was involved with this guy a years ago, well a few months ago they were back in touch. they had about seven months ago. they are really good friends. she was there for him when he was trying to be a fireman. she was hoping that they could rekindle things and get back together. well he called her tonight to tell her that he is getting married in august and now she feels so lonely. she wants to tell him how she felt tonight but she doesnt want him to think that she is up to something, but she is feeling really bad now. she doesnt know if the call tonight was to let her know not to call him anymore or just to talk because they are good friends and always will be in her book, but what should she do. she just feel so bad and hurt. any advice couple with mine would be helpful.
