Welcome to America! What I would do', is forget all about the money, if your mom sends you money to send packages,use it. If you want to see your sister and mom, let them visit, let them spend the money. If your laid off from work, it's hard for you already. Don't take advantage of your moms money, but, if she says use it, use it, and when they visit, if they do, stay home, let them go out. Families should be supportive and glad to see each other, yours seems like they are happy, but, your letting money get in the way. Enjoy seeing your family, don't woory about their feelings.
