They don't usually bury their dead, adults or cubs. They may sc earth or leaves over the bodies, as they do with prey they are intending to come back and eat later, but usually they just leave their dead where they lie. The bonds of the pack are very strong, and wolves mourn for weeks after the death of one of their own. They will often visit the body, or the place where it lay even after it has decomposed or been removed by another animal.
