Is it ok for me to wear these sweatpants?

So it is my last year at my high school and the Grad clothing orderform just came out and is the last chance we have to buy school grad clothing. Among the orderables is sweatpants. They are black, have GRAD 2009 written in yellow across the and STA written in small green letters diagonally down the left leg. I just put in my order for a pair. Now I know they have writing on the , but it just says GRAD 2009 which in my opinion isn't a big deal. I recently borrowed my sister's pair and wore them while playing basketball at the gym and only one girl came up and asked me if I had graduated. I asked her how she knew and said that it said grad on my bum and didn't know if I had yet or not. Is it ok for me to wear these sweatpants to school and the gym?
